Spring 2017 FreshStart

Calling All Parents of 6th – 12th Graders and 6th – 12th graders …

FreshStart is a National Society of Black Engineers – Austin Professionals (NSBE-AP) program. We use interactive workshops to introduce Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) concepts to 6th – 12th graders.

We’ll have great workshops that will give students an opportunity to get a better understanding of what it takes to have a career in STEM fields.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 28th for our March Social Event at Pinballz Lakeline as a kickoff for the NSBE National Convention

Tickets for this event are $10.00. This price includes a meal with 2 drink tickets, a pre-loaded game card, and a private game of Laser tag

FREE  PARKING will be available along Chalmers St. & in the lot across from Chalmers St. Once parked, use the Chalmers street campus entrance. The Aagard-Lovinggood Building will be the 1st building to your left at the top of the stairs. Please use the glass doors to your left at the top of the staircase to enter the building.

Engineering Day…

Please join NSBE AP as we host Engineering Day! You must be able to commit to the full day Wednesday, February 22nd from 7:00am-6:00pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and you will have the opportunity to see the ins & outs of some amazing companies!

This event serves to expose students to the real life of an engineer by chartering selected high school students from LBJ and Harmony to 4 engineering companies throughout the span of one business day. Engineering Day 2017 will be held at Dell, Stantec, Visa, and Applied Materials!
